Excited students from Souvenir Elementary of SWLSB get their pilot Micro:bits with a huge thanks to Kids Code Jeunesse for their donation of the units. The deployment team spent a few hours getting the students onto their Google accounts and setting up where they will save their micro:bit projects. After an hour of “getting ready” for micro:bits we finally got a chance to create two programs; name tag (button A first name, button B last name), and some experimenting with the display with emojis. The students were so excited and engaged for the full two hours, we could have kept programming but the day abruptly ended! We deployed 46 units to two grade 5 science classes.
