Engage your students in a meaningful, hands-on learning experience that allows them to practice their French while making a difference in their community. What exactly students do is up to you!

Up to $2000 in project funding is available to help bring selected projects to life.

Project Ideas

What fun and meaningful activities can your students do in French? They could read, write, or perform stories for younger children, start a conversation club with seniors, create an environmental ad campaign, launch a podcast, or organize a family sports event. What would be most relevant to your community and students? And who in your community can help?

Funds can be used to pay for things like project materials, specialized equipment, guest speakers, animators, artists or to access services from local or regional organizations.

Interested teachers will be prompted to submit a *project idea when they apply to register.

  1. Students take action to benefit their community.
  2. All or most of the project is conducted in French.
  3. Teachers participate in a 75-minute orientation session with LEARN at the onset of the project and report back online to share outcomes and artifacts as projects wrap up.
