Do you PWIM? The Picture Word Inductive Model

Description: The PWIM or Picture Word Inductive Model is a learning strategy, that uses an inductive process, to help students practice and acquire vocabulary, create sentences, paragraphs and eventually texts – all from a picture! In this fun, interactive web event, participants will learn the 10 steps to be able to successfully use the PWIM with their students.
Intended Audience: Elementary and high school ESL teachers (regular, enriched or intensive), consultants and adult ed. Can also be adapted for French second language.
Presenter: Elizabeth Alloul
Elizabeth is an ESL consultant for LEARN. She taught ESL for 15 years, 5 of which were in Intensive. Elizabeth is also part of SPEAQ’s INTENSIG group.
