As school leaders and teachers continue to work through the various challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020-21 school year, the NEXTschool team has decided to step back the NEXTschool initiative at this time.

While many have seen the links between the transformations that the pandemic restrictions are requiring and the NEXTschool philosophy and system components, boards and schools are understandably currently focused on the immediate needs and goals of their students, teachers and communities.

Our hope is that the NEXTschool initiative will serve a role in the future as we collectively work towards shaping an educational experience that is “the best it can be at engaging students and preparing them for the world ahead.”

Many thanks to all who have participated in and contributed to the NEXTschool journey since its inception in January 2018.  When the timing is right, we will be back in touch to evolve the initiative.

In the meantime, we encourage you to revisit this amazing learning journey by reviewing the blog and its many resources, in hopes that they will be helpful as you navigate our changing world and needs of our students.

If we can be of support, or for any inquiries, please be in touch with us at nextschool@learnquebec.ca
